I built a miniature bedroom based on my mother’s memories of her teenage room. After completing it, I wrote an original song for her, imagining the melodies and rhythms she would have enjoyed in that room decades before I was born. The song was recorded, pressed onto vinyl, ground into powder, melted, and cast into a miniature record. It sits on the record player, waiting to be played, and is titled, “I Thought I Knew Negation Until You Said Goodbye.”
